I was SO SO SO excited to receive my coconut oil. I've been having a horribly dry scalp this summer, and everything I tried was not working. Tea tree oil, less shampoo, water filter, etc. I was getting so frustrated and finally, I came across putting hot coconut oil in your hair. I was skeptical because I felt like putting oil into my hair would make it look greasy, but I was willing to try. I came to Amazon to find some and found this product immediately. When it arrived, I was surprised at the size...much more product than expected. I was eager to use it, so I showered, heated up the oil, and then put it into my hair to set overnight with a shower cap on. I woke earlier than usual the next morning since I would have to wash and blow-dry (something I hate doing) my hair. I took the shower cap on and my hair looked incredibly shiny and greasy, and then I washed it out with Moroccan shampoo. I did not use any conditioner. I then blow dried my hair, which took less time than usual (miracle product?) and then after I blow dried my hair was so incredibly soft and silky that I didn't even need to straighten my hair for work. Throughout the day I was nervous that I would feel the itch from my dry scalp...but it never came! I also checked for flakes and those were almost nonexistent. SO SO SO very happy with my purchase and I'm happy the tub was bigger than expected...that means I have more to use! As a side note-I bought this product to use on my hair but I put some of it on my arms and legs because I had heard it was a great moisturiser. Highly recommend doing that as well.

This coconut oil is amazing. It's natural and smells lovely, has a sort of macaroon scent when I wear it because of my body temperature. Everyone complements the smell and the smoothness of my skin now that I use this as a daily moisturizer. It's also been fading my stretch marks. The taste is mild but good; my cat always wants to eat it. When my apartment gets hot it does get soft, as I keep it in the cupboard (you don't have to refrigerate this as it's a natural antibiotic, just keep it out of the sun). The softness depends on the temperature, and it melts pleasingly in my hand. As I start to rub it I feel a "gritty" texture which goes away completely as it melts and absorbs into me. I also use a small amount as a lip gloss and for the ends of my hair. The quality and healing effects are worth the cost, and I haven't purchased any lotion since using this. EDIT: Still using exclusively after over a year!

When I first received this product, I was very confused as it was a completely clear liquid ... not solid, white or viscous at all as other reviewers have mentioned. After 3 days, it started to solidify slightly (see pics); however, I decided to take matters into my own hands and stick it in the fridge -- that did the trick. The oil is now a semi-solid translucent white that liquefies to a clear oil when warmed or applied to skin. I do not use this for cooking. Instead, I bought this in hopes it would help my very dry, itchy skin .. and I've already started to feel results. I slather this all over when I get out of the shower, and it absorbs enough where it doesn't stain my clothes. I also use it to remove make-up, including mascara, and it works better than any *actual* make-up remover I've purchased. I then slather it on my face before bed and wake up with dewy feeling skin. I even worked it though my hair, wore a terry cloth turban to bed, and shampooed in the morning and my hair felt great. As an added benefit, coconut oil claims to have natural anti-fungal properties, so I'm hoping this keeps my recurring tinea versicolor in check. I can't even imagine the number of benefits of using this product I am missing, but I'll be keeping this in my arsenal long-term. PS - I've heard a lot of people in FB groups talking about how Coconut oil smells bad, so I was worried about that ... but this smells DIVINE. My 4 year old even loves to use it and said "I smell like cookies and cream!"

The best working and least obnoxious smelling tub of coconut oil I’ve found yet. My 7 year old son and I both have very dry skin and eczema. This coconut oil works FAR better than my son’s $1000 a tube perscription Eczema ointment which is extreamly painful to his skin I slather this on him from his chest down the second he gets out of the shower -while his skin is still wet. (Put a towel on the ground first and never put it on your child in the shower as it is very slippery) and then put long sleeved organic cotton pjs and socks on. Don’t let your kid run it all over your or his own hair because although it’s a great conditioning treatment it needs a re-washing to get out!!! Trust me...I know...All in All:::This works better than all other lotions, salves, and even RX creams(like the one pictured next to coconut oil). Great price too. Store in dark, cool place. I’ve been living with Dry skin and Eczema my whole life(37 years) and my son 7 years. I’ve tried it all behind the pharmacy counter and OTC. I’ve payed hundreds of thousands on 1000’s of different creams, lotions, salves, and ointments. I know everyone is different and every skin is different but if you’re looking for an something new to try at a affordable price, that is organic, -try this -if you disagree with me about the skin benifits you can always bake with it instead!!!!

I use this as a deep conditioner and it literally is the best and cheapest deep conditioner. I used to spend triple to buy products that "claim" it's all natural and none have them have fixed my hair. My hair is so soft and moisturized now. I can't believe how many uses there are for this stuff. One hour with heat and my hair is the best it has ever been in my life. Also this is great for repairing damage done from coloring. I dye my hair regularly and afterwards my hair would be like straw and would break if I even just looked at it. Now I use this to deep condition a few days before to protect my hair, then dye, then after rinsing the dye out I would deep condition again and my hair is completely unaffected. I would recommend definitely for hair use. It's almost a must.

I used this for two weeks - every night- (I bought 3) .. I have big hair.. the first time in years I was able to go back to a blonde after bleaching. My hair has been so damaged that any bleach would not hold its color in my hair anymore.. My hair has been so chemically damaged and I needed something to really sink into every strand- my hair is porous and very dry.. I presumed it soaked it up like a thirsty animal.. I actually put it on my head with either dry or wet hair.. it's very hard in container- I scooped out a bunch and placed that in my microwave for a few seconds.. I left it on my head either overnight or for a few hours.. I had to wrap a plastic bag around my head because the coconut oil drips on your face, down your arms, your back... be careful washing it out.. I suggest in the shower and not the sink.. after all this is oil your putting down your drain and after 3 days of that my drain stopped draining- out came the plunger. I'd be careful not to let any drip around my floors... this is yummy and sweet coconut oil for any little bug to sniff out so be careful.. it does wash out of your hair easily but use a shampoo that's free of that sulfate and a coconut conditioner free of that too. After conditioning my hair it was the softest I've felt it probably in many years.. not even the salon ever got it that soft. Also.. it seemed to clarify my hair - the more days I used it the more my bad bleached dye job came out and the more my natural hair color came in. I also use folic acid supplements- that's suppose to be what gives our babies all their hair before their born. .. something along those lines... bottom line.... I'm so glad I read these reviews.. hope your glad you read mine. Good luck.

I didn't believe the reviews on this product so I figured I'd see what all the fuss is about. But when I opened this tub, OH MY. That coconut smell made me want a pastry stat! It's a little grittier than the lesser quality coconut oils but it does dissolve. I use this to moisturize after showers but will eventually try it with cooking. Other brands I've tried have left me waking up in the mornings with dry, chalky skin and wondering what's so great about coconut oil if it doesn't keep me moisturized through the night? But not this brand. Oh, and the price isn't too bad either.

Awesome awesome awesome. Started using it 4 months ago religiously and only half of the tub is gone. Uses: 1. Razor bumps and dry skin. I use it after every shower, and after shaving my legs. Don't get razor bumps or upper arm or chest acne anymore. Skin has been so soft. 2. Moisturizing mask for night time. I use it after facial cleanser and toner at night. Put a thin amount on my face and go to sleep. (Don't recommend using it during the day because it leaves a greasy residue) 3. Falling eyelashes GREAT on eyelashes. They've been thicker and falling out less. Coat them at night before bed. 4. Frizzy hair. Use a thin THIN layer on dry hair before going out. Keeps hair from frizzing even in terrible humidity. have thick wavy hair and this is the only product I use. Seriously can't recommend it enough to people lol

This is a Great Coconut Oil! Smells of Delicious Sweet Coconut's. A little goes a Long way, if your Using it for Skin Care & Hair Care (Dab two Fingers and Rub it in) No Grit, it's Silky Smooth and isn't Oily where you Feel like you got Gunk on your Body or in your Hair. Now for Cooking it's Great as Well, It has a Very Very Faint Taste of Coconut (Actually kind of Bland) and it's Not Sweet even though it' Smells Sweet. It Heats up Pretty Quick in the Pan so No Extremely Hit Heats, wouldn't want it to try and take on a Burnt Taste. Great Product if you ask me, I'll Buy again when I'm Out. Note: To all Buyers Here's a Simple Fix for a Few Problems I saw a Few People Have. 1st Off Read about the Product your Buying, So you'll know what it does and what to expect. (Coconut Oils stays as a Solid up to 76°, Any Hotter and the Oil with Liquefy. So Cold, it's Solid. Hot, it's Liquid) It's Not a Cream... 2nd Any Buyer who Buys Liquid Products, Just ask the Seller (If theres a Comment or Note Area or Even Call them to see) to Wrap your Item Up to Prevent Leakage & Loss of Product and try and Pack your Order Tightly. A Few Places have Done it for me ( Little Bubble Wrap here, Little Extra Packing Paper, even got Plastic Wrapped Items Before) 3rd To those who've Gotten one and Said it Smelled Bad. Only a few things come to mind, Either the Seal has been Broken for quite some Time, Some Tampered with the Product or A Bad Batch from the Company. I'm more leaning on the 1st 2 but Regardless contact the Company tell them what's up and it's Done)

I've never used coconut oil before, but I was very pleased with this product. The oil smells fresh and does its job effectively. I use it as body lotion, and hair conditioner for my ends. I also feed a TBS to my service dog for her digestive problems, and I also apply it to her skin and nose (she's hairless.) It's worked for both and when it dries is not oily or sticky, but leaves her skin soft and smooth. I also used it for a yeast infection when my Vagistat was delayed, because coconut oil is very concentrated in 2 major acids that kill yeast, and are the base of many products used to combat yeast. It worked surprisingly well, now that my Vagistat is here I may not even need it seeing as all previous symptoms are gone! I've also used it for the notoriously dry skin on my nose and between my eyebrows, and yup, worked there too- no oil residue or stickyness! I would like to eat it myself for my own nutrition problems, but personally not a fan of the flavor. Overall, very useful and diverse product. I can see myself using it for the rest of my life to be honest- why buy separate products when you can get one natural one for all of your problems? Can see myself purchasing again.
